Job summary

Roper St. Francis Healthcare is seeking an Athletic Trainer to provide clinical support to patient care alongside a supervising provider or physical therapist.

The role includes injury assessment, bracing, rehabilitation and return-to-play training, plus direct patient education and documentation. The position requires NATA BOC certification and active state licensure, with a Bachelor’s in Athletic Training; a Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training required.
• Master’s degree in Athletic Training preferred.
• NATA BOC Certification and current state license required.
• CPR/BLS minimum; BLS within 30 days for RSFH or hire requirement.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support to patient care with supervising provider or physical therapist.
• Assist in injury assessment, bracing, rehabilitation and return-to-play training.
• Coordinate and deliver patient education, plans of care and documentation.
• Support scheduling and communication among providers, therapists and staff.
• Document injury treatments and plans of care.
• Maintain competency through continuing education and trainings.
