The Athletic Trainer at Bon Secours Health System delivers clinical support in injury assessment, bracing, rehabilitation, and return-to-play under supervision. You will coordinate patient education, develop treatment plans, and document care to support providers and scheduling.

Education includes a Bachelor's in Athletic Training with NATA BOC certification and Virginia licensure; Master’s degree preferred and BLS where required. EPIC EMR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training is required.
• Master’s degree in Athletic Training is preferred.
• NATA BOC certification is required.
• Current Athletic Trainer license in the practicing state is required.
• BLS certification preferred (or required within set timeframe).

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily clinical treatment with physical therapists.
• Guide patients on exercises and scheduling.
• Coordinate injury prevention programs and return-to-play training.
• Collaborate with outreach athletic trainers and other medical staff.
• Document injury treatments and plans of care.
• Maintain competency via continuing education and trainings.
