Job summary

The Athletic Trainer at Mercy Health – Kenwood Orthopedic delivers clinical support to patient care, working with supervising providers in injury assessment, rehabilitation, and return-to-play training. It involves education, treatments, and coordinating care with therapists and other staff.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, NATA BOC certification, and a current state license; 2 years of experience preferred.

• 2 years of experience in equivalent setting preferred.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily clinical treatment, supporting therapists.
• Guide patients on exercises and scheduling.
• Coordinate injury prevention programs and return-to-play.
• Collaborate with athletic trainers, therapists, and other clinicians.
• Document treatments and develop plans of care.
• Maintain competency through continuing education.
