Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health seeks an Athletic Trainer for Mercy Ortho at Perrysburg Medical Center. The role focuses on clinical support, injury assessment, bracing, rehabilitation and facilitating safe return-to-play.

You will educate patients, develop plans of care and support scheduling and documentation. The ideal candidate has an AT degree, NATA-BOC certification and an active state license, with 2+ years in similar settings; Master’s preferred, and BLS where required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training (required)
• Master’s degree in Athletic Training (preferred)
• Current NATA BOC certification (required)
• Active athletic trainer license in state of practice (required)
• BLS (preferred or required within onboarding depending on site)

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily clinical treatment of patients with supervision
• Guide patients on exercise programs and treatment plans
• Coordinate injury prevention and return-to-play programs
• Collaborate with athletic trainers, PTs and other clinicians
• Document treatments and plans of care
• Maintain competency via continuing education
