Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System is hiring a Certified Athletic Trainer for Orthopedic Urgent Care at Ten Mile in Caldwell, ID. The role supports orthopedic physicians across clinic locations with a 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

schedule and possible Saturday rotation. Responsibilities include injury assessment, rehabilitation planning, patient education, and documentation, with relocation bonus available to eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Licensure: Idaho Athletic Trainer or Idaho provisional license with 120 days to full licensure.
• Secondary licensure in Idaho or Oregon within 120 days from hire.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification at hire.

Responsibilities

• Recognize and triage injuries during athletic events and practice.
• Assess functional capacity to determine participation ability.
• Educate and monitor precautions to prevent further injury.
• Record all assessment information accurately in the charting.
• Develop rehabilitation or reconditioning plans to restore function.
• Support tasks such as charting, rooming patients, and applying splints.
