This position qualifies for our Athletic Trainer Incentive Program: $10,000 paid over a three-year commitment, spread in six installments after each six-month period of work.
This role requires clinical evaluation and educational skills typical of an athletic trainer working as a physician extender. Responsibilities include injury prevention, assessment, treatment, and reconditioning following NATA standards. The athletic trainer will demonstrate proper taping, bracing, fitting of equipment, and carry out treatments prescribed by physicians. Work may involve embedded roles in schools with limited clinical supervision.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Licensure/Certification: Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), licensed or license-eligible in NC, BLS certification.
Experience: Preferably 1 year as an athletic trainer.
Skills: Excellent communication, medical terminology proficiency.
Position: Full-time, Onsite, Day schedule, 40 hours/week.
Salary: $23.01 - $33.07/hour, based on experience and internal equity.
Location: Cary, NC.
Employment: State-employed with benefits, non-exempt from overtime.
