Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Athletic Trainer – Floater to provide coverage for high schools, community events, and orthopedic clinics. The role emphasizes injury prevention, on-field care, evaluation, and rehabilitation with collaboration across physicians, coaches, schools, and healthcare teams.

Requires a bachelor’s in athletic training, BOC certification, and state licensure eligibility within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in athletic training (CAATE program) required.
• BOC certification required.
• Currently licensed or eligible for State license in Athletic Training within 30 days of hire.
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide athletic training services at events and clinics to support community service goals.
• Collaborate with sports medicine team and assist with event coverage.
• Deliver acute medical care on the field during practices or events.
• Perform on-site recognition, evaluation, and immediate care procedures.
• Maintain daily records, injury reports, and medical inventory management.
• Assist with planning, education, and outreach programs; mentor students if applicable.
