Job summary

Altru Health System seeks an Athletic Trainer to coordinate patient care in the physician practice, including potential first-assistant duties in surgery. You will provide on-site coverage for events, teach residents and students, and support education on injury prevention and treatment plans.

You will work under Orthopedic physicians with credentialing through Altru Health System. Requires ND and MN board credentials and BLS certification, plus a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Assists and educates patients per treatment plan.
• Acts as first assistant under Orthopedic Physician supervision.
• Performs casts, dressings, splints and orthopedic appliances.
• Provides event coverage and injury prevention services.

Responsibilities

• On-site injury assessment and basic life support.
• Engages in resident and student education.
• Ensures competency through credentialing processes if in OR.
• Participates in outreach and community training.
