Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health is seeking an athletic trainer to join the Orthopaedic Clinic team. You will support clinic operations by managing patient flow, maintaining supplies, and assisting with procedures and education under the supervision of a physician.
Responsibilities include patient assessment, education on home exercises, durable medical equipment, and assisting with expected orthopedic procedures. A Bachelor’s in Athletic Training and NH licensure are required, with BLS upon hire.
The licensed athletic trainer delivers care under the direction and/or collaboration of a physician and functions as an integral member of the Orthopaedic Clinic patient care team. The trainer works closely with the supervising physician by assisting in maintaining clinic flow, clinic cleanliness and stocking, patient education, performing therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions and assisting with office procedures. The athletic trainer is also responsible for carrying out other clinic duties and clerical responsibilities as detailed below, supporting clinic operations and delivering high-quality, safe, patient-centered care in collaboration with a supervising physician and the clinical care team.
