Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Greensboro is hiring an Athletic Trainer Certified (ATC) for a part-time, temporary position within the Recreation and Wellness department. You will provide on-site care, evaluation, and treatment for club sport injuries, and support the department’s emergency action plan.

Requirements include NC licensure, BOC-ATC, a CAATE-accredited degree, and BLS CPR/AED certification.

Qualifications

• North Carolina Athletic Trainer Licensure (NC Licensure)
• BOC Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher from CAATE-accredited program
• Certification in BLS for Healthcare Providers with CPR and AED
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible environment

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite care and management of injuries during club sports events.
• Respond to emergencies as part of the department's emergency action plan.
• Treat minor injuries and provide rehabilitation and referral as needed.
• Complete required injury care documentation and communicate with supervising physician.
• Monitor supplies and help develop care protocols with physician.
