Friends University in Wichita, KS is seeking an Athletic Trainer to support student athletes and manage operations in the Athletic Training Room. The role includes assessment and treatment of injuries, with some recommendations for medical care as needed.

Work hours average 50–60 per week, with evening and weekend availability required. A 4-year degree is required, and licensure in Kansas is required or pending.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in physical education and/or sports medicine is required.
• Master’s degree in related field preferred.
• NATABOC certification is required.
• Kansas State Board of Healing Arts licensure is required.
• Two years’ professional experience at college level preferred.
• Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills are necessary.
• CPR/First Aid Certification required.
• CPR/First Aid Instructor Preferred.
• Computer proficiency and familiarity with word-processing and database software (Microsoft Office preferred).

Responsabilités

Job Location: 2100 W University Ave - WICHITA, KS 67213, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: 4 Year Degree, Friends University is seeking to fill the Athletic Trainer position in Wichita Kansas. This position assists the management of operations and activities of the Athletic Training Room and assists in the assessment and treatment of injuries suffered by student athletes, and/or recommends other medical treatment as needed. Work hours are an average of 50 – 60 hours per week. Evening and weekend hours will be required.
