Job summary

Friends University in Wichita, KS is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Coach for Cheer to support the Head Coach in supervising and coaching the intercollegiate cheer program.

You will contribute to development, recruitment, retention and day-to-day operations, handle equipment and facility needs, collaborate with the athletic training team, and help ensure student-athlete graduation and success. The role requires strong organization, communication, and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Two years' coaching experience in organized dance and choreography preferred but not required.
• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
• Strong organization, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain confidentiality; strong time management and leadership development skills.
• Must be able to work in various weather and lift up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

Friends University is seeking to fill the Part-Time Assistant Coach for Cheer position in Wichita Kansas. This position will assist the Head Coach in supervision and coaching of Friends University intercollegiate competitive cheer. This includes development, recruitment, retention, and day-to-day operations of the program. Assisting the head coach with other duties that will include equipment needs, facility needs, collaboration with the athletic training team and ensuring retention and graduation of the spirit squad student athletes.
