Job summary

The University of Georgia in Athens is seeking an Athletic Subject Tutor – Student Assistant to provide individualized and small group tutoring to student-athletes in assigned subjects, within NCAA rules.

You will help improve academic achievement through weekly meetings, file reports on sessions, attend trainings, and coordinate with other support staff to ensure student success. This is a part-time student employment opportunity (FTE 0.49) based in the Athens Area.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small group tutoring to student-athletes in assigned subjects within UGA, SEC, and NCAA rules and regulations.
• Assist students in improving academic achievement in weekly meetings that clarify concepts, enhance study skills, and review class materials within UGA, SEC, and NCAA rules.
• File reports on sessions and follow all departmental policies.
• Attend mandatory trainings.
• Communicate with students’ other support staff team members.
