Athletic Academic Mentor - Non-Student

Department: Athletics‑Student Services

Location: Athens Area

Employment Type: Employee (Part‑time)

Schedule: 1‑hour session, $15.00 per hour.

This part‑time position requires academic mentors to meet with student‑athletes weekly during regularly scheduled sessions to foster academic independence and encourage self‑regulated learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual & small group tutoring to student‑athletes in assigned subjects within the scope of UGA, SEC, and NCAA rules and regulations. (40% of time)
• Assist students in improving academic achievement in weekly meetings that clarify concepts, enhance study skills, and review class materials within the scope of UGA, SEC, and NCAA rules and regulations. (40% of time)
• File reports on sessions & follow all departmental policies. (10% of time)
• Attend mandatory trainings. (5% of time)
• Communicate with student’s other support staff team members. (5% of time)
