The University of Georgia in Athens is seeking a part-time academic mentor to assist student-athletes in their coursework. You will meet weekly with mentees for one-hour sessions to foster academic independence and self-regulated learning, while ensuring compliance with UGA, SEC, and NCAA rules.
Duties include tutoring in assigned subjects, documenting sessions, attending trainings, and coordinating with other support staff.
Assist student-athletes in their academic endeavors by providing supplemental support. This part-time position requires academic mentors to meet with student-athletes weekly during regularly scheduled sessions to foster academic independence and encourage self-regulated learning. Pay is $15 per 1-hour mentor session.
Location of Vacancy: Athens Area.
Employment Type: Employee, FLSA Non‑Exempt, 0.375 FTE.
