Job summary

The City of Mebane is seeking an experienced Recreation Supervisor to oversee youth and adult athletic programs and events. You will lead part-time leaders, plan leagues and tournaments, and coordinate safety and city services to ensure successful activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in parks & recreation management or related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversees athletic programming including admin duties, supervision, development, coaching, and officiating.
• Plans, organizes, and implements leagues, tournaments, and programs.
• Coordinates city services for athletic events (police, EMS, fire).
• Maintains equipment inventory and ensures proper functioning.
• Enforces safety rules and monitors facilities for safety.
• Participates in major city events and assists with fitness programs.
• Keeps program information updated in city software and third-party apps.
