Job summary

Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC seeks an Associate AD for Sports Medicine / Assistant Head Athletic Trainer to provide leadership in college athletics and ensure the healthcare and safety of student-athletes. You will oversee a team of athletic trainers, work with team physicians, coaches, and other healthcare professionals, and maintain wellness information and medical records.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, two years in collegiate athletics, and NC athletic training licensure

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
Two years of experience in collegiate athletics.
Eligible for North Carolina Athletic Training licensure.
CPR/AED Healthcare Provider or equivalent.
NATABOC certification.
Must have a valid Driver's License; able to work nights/weekends/travel.
Experience coordinating sports medicine services at NCAA Division II level.
Ability to lead and manage a diverse healthcare team; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical expertise and administrative oversight to the team of athletic trainers.
Collaborate closely with team physicians, coaches, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of student-athletes.
Provide wellness information, maintain medical records and oversee rehabilitation training.
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
