Job summary

Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC seeks an Associate AD for Sports Medicine / Assistant Head Athletic Trainer to provide leadership in college athletics and ensure the healthcare and safety of student-athletes. You will oversee a team of athletic trainers, work with team physicians, coaches, and other healthcare professionals, and maintain wellness information and medical records.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, two years in collegiate athletics, and NC athletic training licensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Two years of experience in collegiate athletics.
• Eligible for North Carolina Athletic Training licensure.
• CPR/AED Healthcare Provider or equivalent.
• NATABOC certification.
• Must have a valid Driver's License; able to work nights/weekends/travel.
• Experience coordinating sports medicine services at NCAA Division II level.
• Ability to lead and manage a diverse healthcare team; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical expertise and administrative oversight to the team of athletic trainers.
• Collaborate closely with team physicians, coaches, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of student-athletes.
• Provide wellness information, maintain medical records and oversee rehabilitation training.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Position Summary

Associate AD for Sports Medicine/ Assistant Head Athletic Trainer, providing leadership in college athletics. Ensuring the healthcare and safety of student-athletes.

Providing clinical expertise, and administrative oversight to the team of athletic trainers while collaborating closely with team physicians, coaches, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of the student-athletes. Also provide wellness information, maintaining records and training rehabilitation. And other duties as assigned.

Education/ Experience

What you will need to be successful!

Bachelor’s Degree, Masters Preferred

Two Years’ Experience in collegiate athletics

Employment experience or eligible to obtain Athletic Training licensure from the State of North Carolina.

• CPR/AED Certification - Healthcare Provider or equivalent
• NATABOC Certification
• Must have a valid Driver's License
• Must be able to work nights, weekend and travel.
• Experience coordinating sports medicine services at NCAA Division 2 level.
• Experience that demonstrates the ability to effectively lead and manage a collective group of healthcare professionals from various fields and backgrounds.
