Job summary

Plymouth State University is seeking a Grounds Supervisor to coordinate outdoor field operations for NCAA and university events. You will supervise turf/grounds staff, ensure timely field set-ups for athletic events, and manage resources and scheduling to meet event needs.

Responsibilities include winter snow operations, safety training, and mentoring staff. Flexibility to respond to after-hours weather events is required; use of work management software to track work and materials.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; four years of related experience in athletic facilities maintenance for a college/university.
• Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Turf management knowledge; mechanical skill; ability to inspect equipment and perform repairs; proficiency with computers and mobile devices; flexible schedule during emergency or weather events.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation and maintenance of outdoor NCAA and University fields and adjacent areas.
• Plan, schedule, assign, and supervise daily turf/grounds staff work.
• Lead preparation of outdoor facilities for athletic events and university events.
• Forecast field infrastructure repairs and improvements; manage resources and time tracking.
