Job summary

Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation is seeking an Athletic Field Maintenance Technician to maintain athletic fields at multiple South Region parks. Responsibilities include mowing, aeration, fertilization, field lining, and cleaning facilities. Schedule generally weekday daytime hours with possible weekend shifts based on events.

Minimum one year of related experience, high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid NC/SC driver's license are required. CDL may be needed depending on location.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in the area of assignment.
• Knowledge of safety practices for grounds and maintenance work.
• Ability to operate basic maintenance equipment and handle manual tasks.

Responsibilities

• Set up, breakdown and clean during events.
• Clean restrooms and rental facilities.
• Mow, weed, grass and maintain ballfields; remove debris after storms.
