American University in Washington, DC is seeking an Athletic Operations Manager to coordinate on-site event preparation and staffing for home athletic events within the Department of Athletics and Recreation.

The role supervises student and part-time staff, manages facilities readiness, security, and concessions, and collaborates with campus partners to ensure successful events and safe operations.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience.
• Evening and weekend hours may be required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for long hours.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate on-site event preparation for all home athletic events, as well as internal and external hosted events.
• Oversee home athletic event management for assigned varsity programs, including setup, execution, and breakdown.
• Train and supervise a staff of part-time and student employees for daily facility maintenance and event prep.
• Maintain outdoor athletic facilities, conduct inspections, and coordinate with Grounds Crew for field readiness.
• Handle security needs for the department and control access throughout Bender Arena.
