Job summary

TrulyHired is seeking a Site Manager for junior high and high school athletic events. You will help provide a safe, well organized environment for student athletes and attendees, and support the high school administration at events.

The role requires coordinating with officials, coaches, and spectators, overseeing game area readiness, enforcing district guidelines, and responding to emergencies with sound judgment to ensure participant safety.

Qualifications

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work positively with students, parents, and community members.
• Knowledge of district regulations and guidelines for each event.
• Ability to lift, move, and set up event equipment.
• Knowledge or ability to learn how to set up and use sound system and scoreboards.
• Ability to work with coaches, officials and administrators to ensure a safe environment for participants and spectators.
• Ability to provide leadership that assures student and spectator safety in emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Check gym/field setup and ensure game area is ready for play.
• Assist with setup of athletic fields per building administrator's direction.
• Welcome officials and guide them to change rooms as needed.
• Greet visiting coaches and administrators.
• Monitor and assist in managing fans; keep them in appropriate areas.
• Be visible to event participants.
• Escort opposing team during halftime and ensure locker areas are secure.
• Keep aisles/exits clear and enforce district regulations.
• In emergencies, act to ensure safety of all participants and spectators.
• Provide first aid and call emergency personnel when needed.
• Assist with tear-down and ensure equipment is secured.
• Lock unused offices/locker rooms; unlock restrooms only.
• Return borrowed keys, radios, or cell phones and lock the office.
• Ensure ticket sellers/takers are in place and assist with ticket/gate reconciliation.
• Be responsible for gate and concessions deposits if directed.
