The College of Wooster invites applications for the Manager of Equipment Operations & Assistant Coordinator of Facilities and Events. This role oversees the equipment room for 23 varsity sports and intramurals, providing leadership and operational oversight throughout the year.

Responsibilities include policy development, laundry services, inventory systems, budgeting for equipment and apparel, and supervising student workers; travel and weekends required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Two years of experience working in equipment operations preferred.
• Experience in facility and/or event operations at the collegiate level preferred.
• Knowledge of NCAA regulations governing varsity equipment and uniforms preferred.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certification required (can be completed after hire).

Responsibilities

• Oversee athletic equipment room servicing 23 varsity sports and intramurals.
• Develop and enforce equipment room policies and hours of operation.
• Provide laundry services for all varsity teams and manage distribution/collection of uniforms.
• Manage budget requests for equipment, program equipment, and apparel; coordinate with apparel vendor.
• Create and implement a comprehensive inventory system for equipment and apparel.
• Coordinate equipment services (set-up, repair, replacement) at home/away games.
• Assist with game operations and attend weekly planning meetings.
• Coordinate facility setup/breakdown for events in athletic venues.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate student workers and part-time staff.
• Lead and contribute to the athletics department as a whole, supporting ~1500 undergraduates.
• Promote diversity and inclusion in the department; adhere to policies and regulations.
