Job summary

California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) is seeking an Assistant AD, Equipment Operations to oversee the athletic department's equipment and apparel program. You will manage vendor relations, sourcing, inventory, budgeting, licensing compliance, and equipment operations for 19 varsity sports.

As a primary liaison with the apparel provider, you will maximize contract benefits while delivering exceptional service to coaches and student-athletes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with two years’ supervisory experience in equipment and supply services.
• Three years’ experience preferred.
• Must possess or obtain American Red Cross First Aid Certificate.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a $1,000,000 budget and allocate spending to stay within resources.
• Design and maintain the department's inventory management system and internal controls.
• Oversee issuing, fitting, tracking, retrieval, and maintenance of apparel and equipment.
• Coordinate uniforms, laundry, and procurement to support program operations.
• Recruit, hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate student staff and interns.
• Maintain clean, secure equipment rooms and storage areas.
