Base pay range

$19.00/hr - $19.00/hr

Department and Reporting Line

DEPARTMENT: Operations

REPORTS TO: Branch Director

Position Summary

Responsible for planning, directing, supervising, and evaluating Club athletic programs to align with and support Area/Branch strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Establish program objectives consistent with organizational goals and mission.
  2. Oversee daily program activities, ensuring standards, safety, and health requirements are met.
  3. Develop external partnerships within sports, fitness, and recreation sectors.
  4. Encourage member participation and provide instruction and feedback to develop skills.
  5. Demonstrate leadership to ensure conduct, safety, and development of members.
  6. Continuously evaluate programs to meet member needs and promote diversity.
  7. Manage program expenditures and inventory within budget.
  8. Increase program visibility through scheduling and announcements.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
  1. Four-year degree or equivalent experience.
  2. Minimum five years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within a Boys and Girls Club or related organization.
  3. Proficiency in MS Office and web tools.
  4. Valid driver’s license.
  5. Documented training in athletic activities.
  6. Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
  7. Leadership skills for supervising staff and scheduling.
  8. Ability to coordinate and teach sports activities.
  9. Knowledge of officiating and teaching sports skills.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Must demonstrate athletic drills, travel to various locations, lift at least 25 pounds, and perform repetitive motions.
