Job summary

CSSI, LLC. seeks an experienced ATC QA/QC professional to review MORs, investigate surface incidents, and prepare formal reporting for FAA workflows from the Fort Worth, TX area. This full-time role requires extensive ATC background and readiness to engage with multiple FAA facilities.

Ideal candidates hold a math/engineering/science degree or equivalent 15 years of ATC experience, with 8 years substituting for a degree. Availability around Nov/Dec 2026 is anticipated.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in math, engineering, or science plus a minimum of 15 years ATC experience in a LVL 8 or higher FAA/military equivalent ATC facility.
  • In lieu of an applicable bachelor's degree eight (8) years of relevant experience may be substituted.
  • Candidate must be able to work out of the Central Service Area (Fort Worth, TX office) on a full-time basis.
  • Position anticipated to become available in November or December 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Review and validation of Mandatory Occurrence Reports (MORs).
  • Investigates surface incidents including runway incursions, vehicle/pedestrian deviations, pilot deviations, ATC loss of separation. Conducts interviews of pilots as appropriate.
  • Completes required preliminary reporting forms, e.g., FAA Form 8020-17, for various incidents.
  • Creates replays and retrieves voice recordings to assist in investigation, research, and review of incidents.
  • Prepares reports to support and communicate program status as requested by the QA Manager.
  • Communicates with FAA Facilities and other program offices to provide assistance on QA/QC and Runway Safety issues and share information.
  • Contacts field facilities to request information that cannot be obtained through other methods.

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience as a QA/QC specialist or manager in a field ATC facility, District, Service Center/Service Area office, or at FAA Headquarters
