Job summary

Lindblad Expeditions is seeking a Pastry Chef for onboard galley duties, delivering breads, pastries, and plated desserts with creativity and attention to dietary restrictions. You’ll work closely with the Head Chef to manage daily production, inventory, and sanitation in a remote maritime setting.

This hands‑on role requires strong baking skills, physical endurance for long shifts, and a willingness to adapt to a 12‑hour daily schedule on an 8/4 rotation, in a dynamic team environment at sea.

Qualifications

• Formal culinary or baking/pastry training preferred.
• 2+ years of culinary experience on board passenger ships preferred.
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities are essential.
• Ability to work well in a team and lead/training others if needed.

Responsibilities

• Participate in baking guest breakfasts, lunches, and dinners and produce pastries.
• Plate desserts and ready accompaniments with sauce and garnish.
• Prepare items for dietary restrictions (GF, vegan, kosher, lactose-free).
• Support galley operations including inventory and ordering with the Head Chef.
• Maintain sanitary standards and assist in dishwashing as needed.
