Job summary

USD 259 is seeking a Future Ready Advocate to support At‑Risk students and reduce suspensions. The role is part of the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Accountability and may extend to home and community settings.

The Advocate will collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrators to implement strategies that build positive relationships and connect students with school and community resources.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing to diverse audiences.
• Experience working with diverse student populations and families.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with students, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Works with key school staff for the benefit of students.
• Builds strong relationships with students who are at risk due to academics, behaviors & attendance.
• Develops individualized student success plans with measurable goals.
• Monitors attendance, behavior and academic progress regularly.
• Links students to appropriate resources in school and community.
