Job summary

Engadine Consolidated Schools is seeking a caring, dependable At-Risk Instructional Aide to support students facing barriers to school success. The role works with teachers, administrators, support staff, students, and families to provide individualized support that helps students remain engaged and progress academically.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with children or adolescents preferred.
• Experience with students with academic, behavioral, attendance, or social-emotional needs preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism.
• Ability to follow school procedures and maintain a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic support to students individually and in small groups.
• Assist students with assignments, organization, study skills, and completion of coursework.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with students.
• Support students in developing social, emotional, and behavioral skills.
• Identify barriers to student success and communicate concerns to the classroom teacher.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
• Assist with interventions and individualized support plans as directed.
• Reinforce classroom expectations and positive behavior strategies.
• Encourage students to develop independence and self-advocacy.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student information.
• Collaborate effectively with classroom teachers and other school personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the building administrator or superintendent.
