Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with children or adolescents preferred.

• Ability to follow school procedures and maintain a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic support to students individually and in small groups.
• Assist students with assignments, organization, study skills, and completion of coursework.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with students.
• Support students in developing social, emotional, and behavioral skills.
• Identify barriers to student success and communicate concerns to the classroom teacher.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
• Assist with interventions and individualized support plans as directed.
• Reinforce classroom expectations and positive behavior strategies.
• Encourage students to develop independence and self-advocacy.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student information.
• Collaborate effectively with classroom teachers and other school personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the building administrator or superintendent.

Position Summary

Engadine Consolidated Schools is seeking a caring, dependable, and student-focused At-Risk Instructional Aide to support students who may be experiencing academic, attendance, behavioral, or other barriers to school success.

The At-Risk Instructional Aide will work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, support staff, students, and families to provide individualized support that helps students remain engaged in school, improve academic performance, develop positive behaviors, and successfully reach their educational goals.

• Provide academic support to students individually and in small groups.
• Assist students with assignments, organization, study skills, and completion of coursework.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with students.
• Support students in developing appropriate social, emotional, and behavioral skills.
• Help identify barriers that may interfere with student success and communicate concerns to the classroom teacher.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
• Assist with interventions and individualized support plans as directed.
• Reinforce classroom expectations, school policies, and positive behavior strategies.
• Encourage students to develop independence, responsibility, and self-advocacy skills.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student information.
• Collaborate effectively with classroom teachers and other school personnel.

Qualifications
