Job summary

ASRC Industrial is seeking a Rope Access Painter/Blaster to perform abrasive blasting and coating applications on structures, tanks, and assets using rope access. The role demands working at height in confined and difficult locations while adhering to safety and coating standards.

Responsibilities include surface prep, coating application, equipment rigging, and documentation, with travel to job sites as needed. Must hold IRATA or SPRAT certification and pass a physical fitness test.

Qualifications

• Valid IRATA or SPRAT certification.
• Experience in abrasive blasting and industrial coating application.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass a physical fitness exam and work at heights.
• Willingness to travel to job sites for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform abrasive blasting to prepare surfaces and remove contaminants.
• Apply industrial coatings using spray, roller, or brush while rope-accessed.
• Rig and de-rig rope access equipment following IRATA/SPRAT standards.
• Conduct pre-use inspections of rope access and blasting/painting gear.
• Set up and operate blasting pots, compressors, hoses, and containment systems.
• Monitor surface prep and coating thickness per specs.
• Maintain containment systems to control dust and overspray.
• Collaborate with rope access team and site safety personnel.
