Job summary

AdventHealth in Daytona Beach, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for day shift in the outpatient ambulatory surgery setting. This full-time role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus (eligibility requirements apply) and a schedule of 5x8s from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM, with three weekends per year on call.

You will collaborate with medical staff to ensure quality continuum of care and patient education at discharge. Minimum RN licensure and BLS required; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Computer proficiency required.
• Competency with IV management required.
• Ability to function in a physically demanding, high-stress environment.
• Ability to work irregular hours, including call hours, required.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with medical staff and ancillary services to ensure appropriate continuum of patient care.
• Assesses patients upon return to the unit for phase II recovery.
• Provides post-operative educational information and discharge instructions.
• Discharges patients following established discharge criteria.
• Demonstrates clinical competence in patient assessment and reassessment.

• 1+ years of clinical experience in a hospital [Preferred]
• 1+ years of experience in outpatient ambulatory surgery [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Preferred]
