Geffen Mesher in Portland, OR seeks an experienced Assurance Senior Manager to lead multi‑service engagements, supervise engagement teams, and guide client relationships with the highest quality. You will shape strategy, ensure GAAP/GAAS compliance, and drive service excellence for diverse clients.

You will mentor managers and staff, expand business opportunities, and contribute to GMCO’s growth while upholding our culture and core values. Hybrid work options are available.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of recent public accounting experience in assurance, audit, or attest services, including leadership of complex engagements and client relationships.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field and CPA license.
• Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex, multi-service assurance engagements across industries.
• Serve as trusted advisor to executive-level client stakeholders; provide business insights and accounting guidance.
• Build and deepen executive-level client relationships through proactive communication.
• Manage engagement economics: pricing, budgeting, billing, scope, staffing, resources across engagements.
• Provide technical leadership; resolve complex accounting and reporting matters.
• Review and approve financial statements, workpapers, and deliverables for shareholder review.
• Collaborate across practice areas to deliver integrated client solutions.
• Drive business development and portfolio growth within existing relationships.
