Geffen Mesher and Company PC (GMCO) is seeking an experienced Assurance Manager to lead audit, review, and assurance engagements for clients across industries. You will mentor staff, manage engagement economics, and advise business owners and executives throughout the year.

The ideal candidate has a clear track record of technical excellence, client service, and leadership in a fast-paced public accounting environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Active CPA license.
• Minimum 5+ years public accounting experience in assurance.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP/GAAS and audit methodologies.
• Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Lead assurance engagements throughout the full lifecycle with proper stakeholder involvement.
• Evaluate complex accounting and financial reporting matters and provide guidance.
• Oversee engagement economics: pricing, budgeting, billing, scope, staffing, profitability.
• Act as trusted advisor and maintain relationships with client executives and teams.
• Help clients improve financial reporting, internal controls, and business performance.
• Collaborate with tax, advisory, and other teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Support business development and cross-selling within client relationships.
• Mentor and develop staff and senior associates; provide coaching and training.
