Job summary

EY in Boston is seeking an Assurance Advisor (Manager) to lead audits under U.S. GAAS/GAAP for FS clients. You will manage engagements, supervise teams, and cultivate client relationships while identifying complex accounting issues, including revenue, internal controls, and business combinations.

The position is full-time, Mon-Fri, 40 hours per week, with up to 25% travel. A CPA (or foreign CPA) is required or anticipated, with hybrid work options and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business or a related field plus 5 years of post-bachelor’s experience; or Master’s plus 4 years.
• 2 years of experience in engagement management, execution and reporting, and client relationship building for financial services clients.
• Experience with asset management, insurance, banking/capital markets, or real estate/hospitality/construction clients.
• 2 years supervising audits of financial statements under U.S. GAAS/GAAP, and with IAS where applicable.
• 1 year using audit documentation software.
• Active US CPA certificate or foreign certificate with state qualification to obtain US CPA.
• Domestic travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform audits in accordance with U.S. GAAS and GAAP for private and public company financial statements.
• Identify accounting and auditing issues and provide clear, concise insights to clients.
• Supervise audit teams and monitor progress to deliver high-quality services.
• Maintain client relationships and develop business opportunities.
• Support engagement planning, execution, reporting, and documentation.
