Job summary

BDO USA's Third Party Attestation practice offers an Assurance Intern role to learn how to prepare SOC 1, SOC 2, SOC 3, SOC for Cybersecurity, and related frameworks. Under engagement team guidance, you will document, validate, test, and assess internal controls across industries to support external compliance needs.

You will gain hands-on experience with reporting standards, collaborate with professionals, and develop skills in control assessment, information systems, and risk management while

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent, required
• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program, required
• Focus in Accounting or Information Systems, preferred
• Leadership experience, preferred
• Prior Internship or experience working within a public accounting or internal auditing environment, preferred

Responsibilities

• Testing and documenting internal control systems in a variety of industries
• Participating in the review of internal controls
• Assisting in the preparation of reports and recommendations associated with work performed
• Preparing work papers in accordance with BDO policy
• Developing and maintaining relationships with engagement team and client personnel
• Applying educational background to work performed
• Other duties as required
