Job summary

BDO USA is seeking an Assurance Intern, Third Party Attestation to learn how to prepare third‑party attestation reports including SOC 1, SOC 2, SOC 3, and related frameworks. You will document, validate, test, and assess control systems under guidance from the engagement team.

You will gain experience in testing and documenting internal controls, supporting reports, and developing relationships with the client team while applying coursework in Accounting or Information Systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent, required
• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program, required
• Focus in Accounting or Information Systems, preferred
• Leadership experience, preferred
• Prior Internship or experience working within a public accounting or internal auditing environment, preferred

Responsibilities

• Testing and documenting internal control systems in a variety of industries
• Participating in the review of internal controls
• Assisting in the preparation of reports and recommendations associated with work performed
• Preparing work papers in accordance with BDO policy
• Developing and maintaining relationships with engagement team and client personnel
• Applying educational background to work performed
• Other duties as required
