Job summary

BDO USA seeks an Intern in our Assurance practice to apply your accounting education and organizational skills while serving a dynamic client base. You will assist in problem solving, collaborate with experienced team members, and gain hands-on perspective on our firm’s practices and people.

This internship emphasizes training, mentoring, and relationship-building to maximize success in your accounting career within assurance.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Accounting.
• Pursuing a master's degree in Accounting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Participates in a structured on-the-job training program and become familiar with GAAP and GAAS.
• Becomes familiar with BDO's audit methodology to assist with stages of the audit process.
• Provides support functions to the audit staff during engagements.
• Communicates with clients and related parties concerning audit issues.
• Prepares and documents work in working papers using BDO tools and templates.
• Contributes ideas to audit teams and listens to others.
• Completes an assigned accounting or audit research project and presents findings.
• Other duties as required.
