Job summary

BDO is seeking an energetic intern to join our Assurance practice in Atlanta, GA. You will apply your accounting education and organizational skills while working with experienced team members to gain hands-on auditing experience.

You will learn BDO’s audit methodologies, assist with engagement tasks, and develop strong communication and teamwork abilities as you contribute to client deliverables and research projects.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Accounting.
• Pursuing a Master’s degree in Accounting (preferred).
• Leadership experience and CPA pursuit are a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Participates in a structured on-the-job training program and becomes familiar with GAAP and GAAS.
• Becomes familiar with BDO audit methodology to assist with various stages of the audit process.
• Provides support functions to the audit staff during engagements.
• Communicates with clients' customers, creditors, banks, and related parties concerning audit issues.
• Prepares and documents work in working papers using BDO templates and tools.
• Contributes ideas to audit teams and presents findings to a panel of Assurance professionals.
• Completes one assigned accounting or audit-related research project and presents findings.
• Other duties as required.
