Job summary

BDO USA, PC is seeking an Intern in our Assurance practice to gain hands-on experience in GAAP and GAAS, working closely with seasoned team members to learn the full audit lifecycle. Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Accounting, required.
• Pursuing CPA certification to further professional qualification.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Leadership experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in a structured on-the-job training program and become familiar with GAAP and GAAS.
• Becomes familiar with BDO's audit methodology to assist with various stages of the audit process.
• Provides various support functions to the audit staff during engagements.
• Communicates with clients' customers, creditors, banks and related parties concerning audit issues.
• Prepares and documents work in working papers utilizing BDO-specific tools and templates.
• Contributes ideas/opinions to audit teams and listens to peers.
• Completes one assigned accounting or audit-related research project and presents findings to a panel of Assurance professionals.
• Other duties as required.
