Asst Machine Operator - Specialty Folder Gluer 2nd Shift

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently set up all folding and gluing operations of the machine in accordance with proper setup techniques.
• Minimize waste of sheet stock and glue.
• Properly operate the machine to run efficiently and produce quality products.
• Ensure diagonal and corrugator scores are broken when necessary.
• Maximize equipment utilization by operating at available capacity and speed.
• Assist in training all post-job positions.
• Learn to run a variety of box styles.
• Check quality of boxes during the run, including mis-slotted boxes, loose liners, misprints, and other defects.
• Complete necessary reports accurately and timely, including Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, and Quality Data.
• Submit maintenance work orders for repairs and be proactive in equipment maintenance.
• Adhere to production schedules and recommend optimizations to meet cost, quality, and service goals.
• Report scheduling issues to Supervisor.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety and housekeeping.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year relevant experience preferred.
• Experience in the corrugated industry and in Press and Finishing Department (at least six months) preferred.
