Asst Machine Operator - Specialty Folder Gluer 2nd Shift

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently set up all folding and gluing operations of the machine according to proper setup techniques.
• Minimize waste of sheet stock and glue.
• Operate the machine properly to run efficiently and produce quality products.
• Ensure diagonal and corrugator scores are broken when necessary.
• Maximize equipment utilization by operating at available capacity and speed.
• Assist in training all post-job positions.
• Learn to run a variety of box styles.
• Check the quality of boxes during production, including mis-slotted boxes, loose liners, misprints, and other defects.
• Complete necessary reports accurately and promptly, such as Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, and Quality Data.
• Submit maintenance work orders for needed repairs and proactively maintain equipment.
• Adhere to the production schedule and suggest optimizations to meet cost, quality, and service goals; report scheduling issues to supervisor.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety and good housekeeping.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of relevant experience preferred.
• Prior experience in the corrugated industry is preferred.
• Experience in Press and Finishing Department for at least six months is preferred.
