  • Accurate and efficient set-up of all folding and gluing operations of the machine in accordance with proper setup techniques.
  • Minimize waste of sheet stock and glue.
  • Properly operate machine to run efficiently and produce quality products.
  • Ensure diagonal and corrugator scores are broken when necessary.
  • Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.
  • Assist in training all post-job positions.
  • Learn to run a variety of box styles.
  • Check quality of boxes during the run, including mis-slotted boxes, loose liner, misprints, and other defects.
  • Complete necessary reports accurately and in a timely manner, including Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, and Quality Data.
  • Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for repairs. Be proactive in equipment maintenance.
  • Adhere to production schedule. Make recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality, and service goals. Report scheduling issues to Supervisor.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and good housekeeping.
  • Additional duties may be assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required. One year minimum relevant experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in the corrugated industry preferred.
  • Experience in Press and Finishing Department - at least six months.
