Responsibilities

• Accurate and efficient setup of all folding and gluing operations of the machine in accordance with proper setup techniques.
• Minimize waste of sheet stock and glue.
• Properly operate machine to run efficiently and produce quality products.
• Ensure diagonal and corrugator scores are broken when necessary.
• Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.
• Assist in training all post-job positions.
• Learn to run a variety of box styles.
• Check quality of boxes during the run, including mis-slotted boxes, loose liner, misprints, and other defects.
• Complete necessary reports accurately and timely, including Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, and Quality Data.
• Report maintenance needs by submitting work orders to supervision and be proactive in equipment maintenance.
• Adhere to production schedules, make recommendations for optimization, and report scheduling issues.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and good housekeeping.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year relevant experience preferred.
• Prior experience in the corrugated industry preferred.
• Experience in Press and Finishing Department for at least six months preferred.
