Job summary

Marquee Hospitality LLC. is seeking a General Manager to oversee day-to-day hotel operations in Kansas City, MO. The role focuses on maximizing financial returns, developing people, delivering a unique guest experience, and executing brand standards to boost local presence.

You will act as General Manager in their absence and lead all departments, ensuring alignment with the hotel’s strategic goals and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, implementation, and monitoring of financial and operational plans for the hotel.
• Provide regular direction and manage hotel operations for all departments.
• Record and input credit card purchases and petty cash into the Hotel’s Google Drive Folder.
• Make recommendations for capital improvements to enhance assets and brand loyalty.
• Assist in the completion of EOM reports each month by its due date.
• Manage day-to-day operational activities, plan and assign work and establish performance and development goals for team members.
• Direct report for all front desk and shuttle staff and verify checklists are completed by each employee.
• Ensure payroll budget is not exceeded and staff time is managed efficiently.
• Communicate with Management on issues and ensure front desk and housekeeping stay aligned.
• Provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to manage conflict and improve performance.

• Assist the Manager in the development, implementation, and monitoring of financial and operational plans for the hotel.
• Provide regular direction and manage hotel operations for all departments.
• Assist the Manager with recording and inputting credit card purchases and petty cash purchases into the Hotel’s Google Drive Folder.
• Make recommendations for capital improvements to enhance the assets of the hotel and/or company and brand loyalty.
• Assist in the completion of EOM reports each month by its specified due date.
• Manage day-to-day operational activities, plan and assign work and establish performance and development goals for team members.
• Is the direct report for all front desk and shuttle staff and reviews that all checklists are being completed by each employee.
• Ensure that the schedule does not exceed the allotted payroll budget and that staff time is being managed.
• Consistently communicate with Management on situations and operational issues that might arise and also ensure that the front desk and housekeeping are always working on the same page.
• Provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to help manage conflict, improve team member performance, and recognize good performance.
