Job summary

Marquee Hospitality LLC. is seeking a hands-on General Manager to supervise day-to-day hotel operations in Saint Joseph, MO. You will optimize financial performance, uphold brand standards, mentor our team, and build a strong local presence in the community.

The role requires proactive leadership and a commitment to guest-centric service. In this position you will partner with department heads to develop plans, monitor KPIs, and manage payroll within budget.

Qualifications

• Assist the General Manager in the development, implementation, and monitoring of financial and operational plans for the hotel.
• Provide regular direction and manage hotel operations for all departments.
• Make recommendations for capital improvements to enhance the assets of the hotel and/or company and brand loyalty.
• Assist in the completion of EOM reports each month by its specified due date.
• Manage day-to-day operational activities, plan and assign work and establish performance and development goals for team members.
• Is the direct report for all front desk and shuttle staff and reviews that all checklists are being completed by each employee.
• Ensure that the schedule does not exceed the allotted payroll budget and that staff time is being managed.
• Consistently communicate with Management on situations and operational issues that might arise and also ensure that the front desk and housekeeping are always working on the same page.
• Provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to help manage conflict, improve team member performance, and recognize good performance.

Job description

Assist in managing day-to-day hotel operations by maximizing financial returns, driving the development of people, creating and maintaining a unique guest experience, executing on brand standards, and building awareness of the hotel and brand in the local community. Act as General Manager in his/her absence.
