Job summary

MoDOT is seeking an Assistant District Maintenance Engineer to support the district maintenance engineer in safe, efficient operations of the state highway system across the district, including paving, sign, and bridge maintenance.

Alternate locations may be considered such as Sikeston, Park Hills, and Poplar Bluff. The role requires ABET-accredited engineering credentials, PE license in Missouri, and extensive highway experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Missouri.
• Six years of highway or transportation engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct all district maintenance activities in the absence of the district maintenance engineer.
• Prioritize and monitor maintenance tasks within the district.
• Serve as a technical resource; evaluate and inspect district maintenance activities for policy compliance.
• Provide supervision and guidance to district maintenance personnel.
• Inspect maintenance equipment for compliance with preventive maintenance and safety standards.
