Xavier University’s Department of Communication invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor of Instruction in the Digital Innovation, Film and Television Program (DIFT) beginning Fall 2027. The program emphasizes hands-on learning, social justice, and cross-disciplinary collaboration in a dynamic digital media setting.

Qualifications

• M.F.A. in Digital Film and Television Production or equivalent at time of appointment.
• Proficiency in digital filmmaking and background in Adobe Suite.
• Experience with equipment ranging from cameras to sound, lighting, and editing.
• Innovation in areas of expertise is desired.

Responsabilités

• Teach assigned courses as part of a 4-course per semester load.
• Plan and prepare lectures, discussions, and activities for student success.
• Utilize Canvas to provide course information and track progress.
• Collaborate with department and university community.
