This role works closely with Presidents, Boards of Directors, committees, volunteers, and members to ensure each organization operates effectively and its priorities move forward.

The ideal candidate is a relationship-driven association professional who can balance strategic thinking with strong execution, confidently advise volunteer leaders, manage multiple priorities, and deliver an exceptional level of service.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as the primary AMAS staff liaison and day-to-day management contact for assigned association clients.
  • Build strong working relationships with Presidents, Officers, Boards of Directors, committee leaders, members, and other stakeholders.
  • Advise volunteer leadership on association operations, governance, policies, procedures, and organizational priorities.
  • Plan and coordinate Board, Executive Committee, committee, membership, and other association meetings.
  • Develop meeting agendas with association leadership and ensure reports, materials, and follow-up items are completed.
  • Ensure Board and committee decisions, assignments, and action items are implemented and tracked.
  • Manage annual calendars, programs, events, initiatives, organizational deadlines, and client priorities.
  • Partner with association leadership on annual goals, priorities, and strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor budgets, financial reports, expenditures, and financial performance in coordination with AMAS accounting staff and association leadership.
  • Oversee membership programs and support efforts to strengthen engagement, retention, and participation.
  • Coordinate educational programs, networking opportunities, awards programs, community initiatives, and other association activities.
  • Maintain awareness of bylaws, policies, governance requirements, and organizational procedures.
  • Manage communications with members, volunteer leaders, vendors, partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Represent assigned associations professionally at meetings, programs, events, and industry functions.
  • Provide direction and oversight to Association Coordinators supporting assigned accounts.
  • Identify operational issues, recommend solutions, and proactively communicate concerns and opportunities to association leadership and AMAS management.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in association management, nonprofit management, membership organizations, or a related professional environment preferred.
  • Experience working directly with Boards of Directors, committees, executives, or volunteer leadership strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Board governance and association operations.
  • Demonstrated project, meeting, event, and organizational management skills.
  • Financial acumen with the ability to review budgets and financial reports.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple organizations, projects, deadlines, and competing priorities.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and relationship-management skills.
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, accountability, and responsiveness.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office; association management software experience preferred.
  • REALTOR® association or real estate industry experience is a plus.
Schedule & Travel

This position requires flexibility to attend occasional early-morning and evening meetings, programs, and events. Local travel is required, with occasional additional travel based on the needs of assigned associations.
