Job summary

North Country Dairy is seeking an Associate Wastewater Technician to support the daily operation and maintenance of the Wastewater Treatment System at the North Lawrence facility. You will assist the Wastewater Technician and EH&S Manager to ensure regulatory compliance and safe, clean WWTS operation on site.

You will work with plant leadership, operations, maintenance, safety, and quality teams, performing sampling, basic inspections, and equipment checks.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to develop a science/compliance background.
• Work within a union environment among a cross-disciplinary population.
• Ability to work individually and in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Support facility compliance with environmental laws and regulations under Wastewater Technician/EH&S Manager direction.
• Assist with environmental permit compliance tracking for air, wastewater, stormwater, and waste management.
• Oversee daily WWTS operations including housekeeping, sampling, and PM task tracking.
• Operate wastewater treatment equipment under established procedures.
• Maintain accurate operational records and compliance documentation.
• Support coordination of maintenance and repair with Engineering, Maintenance, and external service providers.
